The technique was originally developed for patients suffering brain injuries and has more recently been adapted for patients with schizophrenia and other mental health conditions including anorexia nervosa. It consists of mental exercises aimed at improving cognitive strategies and thinking skills through practice. Cognitive Deficits Research on patients with anorexia nervosa shows cognitive deficits. To date, two primary cognitive deficits have been identified and targeted as a part of CRT: A lack of cognitive flexibility (the ability to shift or change mental and behavioral strategies). Anorexia sufferers commonly exhibit rigid thinking both during the acute phase of the illness and after weight restoration. It may manifest as rigid rules about which foods they can eat, routinized behaviors, and difficulty multi-tasking. When habits are interrupted, they may become extremely upset. Problems with central coherence (a preoccupation with details and relative lack of attention to the bigger picture). Patients with anorexia are usually good at focusing on details but to the exclusion of seeing the bigger picture. For example, they may become preoccupied with details such as calorie content or fat content of a particular food item and be unable to consider the larger context of overall nutritional intake. CRT interventions address these two deficits by focusing on the patientâs process of thinking, rather than the content of their thoughts. In contrast to traditional interventions, CRT does not directly address symptoms specific to eating disorders such as weight and shape concerns or dietary restriction. It is always delivered as an adjunct to traditional treatments and is not designed to be a standalone treatment for anorexia nervosa. Cognitive Remediation Therapy and Neuropsychology In CRT, the therapist introduces the patient to neuropsychological tasks, puzzles, games, and other real-life activities that address cognitive flexibility and/or central coherence. Examples of neutral activities that may be used to develop cognitive flexibility include: Changing the order of a routine behavior (i.e. when getting ready for bed brush your teeth before changing instead of after)Choosing a different brand of the same product (e.g., a cleaning supply)Sitting in a different place at mealtimes Through brain training and activities, new skills and strategies are learned. The therapist also provides psychoeducation to help the patient understand their process of thinking, encouraging the patient to reflect on their performance in cognitive exercises and drawing parallels to behaviors in real life. The Goal of CRT The hope is that by practicing cognitive flexibility and central coherence in these more neutral domains, the patient will be able to apply the new cognitive skills to eating-related tasks. For example, with training, they may be more willing to try new foods or to focus on balance in their entire meal plan and not get bogged down in the nutrient makeup of a single food. There have been clinical trials of CRT with child, adolescent, and adult patients with anorexia nervosa. Preliminary research shows that CRT is acceptable to the majority of patients. Because it does not target emotionally laden content, CRT may be less threatening for patients who are very ill and unprepared to tackle emotional issues or make behavioral changes related to eating. CRT seems to have the potential to enhance the effectiveness of traditional treatments, reduce treatment dropout, improve cognitive abilities, improve quality of life, and reduce eating disorder symptoms. Activities You Can Try at Home Although they do not represent formal CRT, many fun games and puzzles may help increase cognitive flexibility and central coherence. Here are some ideas for activities you can do at home: Q-bitz is a set of patterned blocks that are assembled in different ways to match designs on a set of cards. It focuses on the integration of elements.Set is a card game that focuses on matching elements according to different criteria (e.g. shading, color, figure, and a number of elements). It addresses set shifting. It is also available as an app for iPhones and tablets.Alternate uses is a verbal set-shifting game that challenges the participant to come up with uncommon alternative uses for common items. For example, instead of eating an apple, it could be cut in half and used to stamp color on fabric. The point of the game is to brainstorm the uses (you donât have to perform the alternate use!)Rush Hour is a logic and problem-solving puzzle that is also available in tablet form. In their mind Santa Claus is dressed wearing a red coat with white collar, a Santa hat, black boots and leather belt with white bearded. They believe that on that night which is called Christmas Eve, Santa Claus will deliver presents with a sleigh and many reindeer to the well behaved childrenââ¬â¢s. He will come through the chimney on the roof. Then slide down and walk through the fire place. Then on the morning day of Christmas kids will wake up and presents will be under the Christmas tree. Some kids donââ¬â¢t believe in Santa Clause because they think itââ¬â¢s not real. They might have found out and knows about it. Some kids might be bad and never really got presents. It could also be when they were a kids their family never told them about how Santa Claus exist and how they deliver gifts. They think it is their parents the one who got the present to them and pretend to be Santa. Even though some kids know itââ¬â¢s not true but they still pretend to believe in it. They could be happy from writing the letter to Santa and waking up next morning seeing the presents. It really depends on themselves if they believe it or not. Maybe as they grew older and found out it is their parents then they might be sad and disappointed. I once believed in Santa Claus as a kid because I got present the next day I woke up from every Christmas. But then later on as I grew older I kind of know it was my aunt the one who gave me the presents. I remembered that as a kid before I know the truth it was fun on Christmas Eve because I went to sleep early and the next day I woke up with presents. Read on to consider one or both of these questions, and determine once and for all whether or not you need to take the redesigned SAT. Question 1: Do You Need the New SAT for Colleges? Before you start evaluating your SAT scores, you should make sure that your scores will fulfill application requirements. In addition to figuring out which test your colleges require, you should also take note of your collegesââ¬â¢ super-scoring policies. Most colleges wonââ¬â¢t ââ¬Å"cross super-scoreâ⬠between the old SAT and new SAT. Since theyââ¬â¢re two different tests with two different scoring systems, most colleges wonââ¬â¢t take your highest sections scores on either test to combine them into the highest possible total score. If youââ¬â¢re relying on superscoring as part of your testing strategy, then this fact may be another deciding factor in whether or not you should take the new SAT. Once you answer this question for all the schools on your college list, youââ¬â¢ll be one step closer to answering the question of whether youshould take the new SAT. Letââ¬â¢s consider both scenarios, the first being that your colleges take the old SAT and the second being that they do not. I'm only applying to super chill colleges where I can play ultimate frisbee and take glass-blowing classes. They're totally cool with myold SAT scores. Answer 1: My Colleges Take the Old SAT If your colleges take the old SAT, then you might not have to take the new SAT! You've already met the SAT score requirement of your college applications. Rather than prepping for the new SAT, your energies will likely be more productive in other areas, like your academics, extracurricular activities, and producing the rest of your application. Before completing writing off the new SAT, though, you should scroll down to question #2 and make sure that your old SAT score really is high enough to make you a competitive applicant. My fashion forward colleges say out with the old and in with the new. They think the old SAT is so last season. Answer 2: My Colleges Only Take the New SAT If youââ¬â¢re a younger student graduating after 2018, then itââ¬â¢s possible that your prospective colleges will only take the new SAT. As you saw above, youââ¬â¢ll also have to take it if Northwesternââ¬â¢s on your college list. You may have been hoping that you were all finished with the SAT, but unfortunately, you got caught in the switchbetween the old and new SAT. The good news is that youââ¬â¢ve already done a lot of preparation and know that you can achieve a strong score if you put your mind to it. Youââ¬â¢ll need to readjust your test prep to the redesigned test, or you could even consider switching over to the ACT instead. Weââ¬â¢ll discuss how to choose between the SAT and ACT in more detail below, but first, letââ¬â¢s look at the second important question, which has to do with evaluating your SAT scores. Is your glass really as full as you thought, you were you usingan absurdly tiny measuring tape? Question 2: Is Your Score Really High Enough? Maybe your colleges take your old SAT scores, but that doesnââ¬â¢t mean that youââ¬â¢re necessarily all finished with this part of your application. Before nixing the idea of taking the new SAT, you should make sure your score really is high enough to accomplish your goals. So what criteria can you use to make this determination? First, you can consider your personal goals. Were you able to meet your target scores? Do you feel that your scores are an accurate reflection of your academic abilities? If you feel satisfied with your scores, then they may be high enough to meet your personal goals. Second, and more importantly, you should consider your prospective collegesââ¬â¢ expectations. While colleges typically donââ¬â¢t advertise an SAT minimum, they do publicize the average scores of accepted students. You might be able to find this information on your collegesââ¬â¢ admissions website. You can also easily find it using PrepScholarââ¬â¢s database, which gives you the average SAT scores, ranging from the 25th to the 75th percentile, of each collegeââ¬â¢s accepted students. For instance, a score of 2100 on the SAT is a great score and may very well exceed your personal goals. However, if youââ¬â¢re looking to apply to a highly selective school like Duke, MIT, Stanford, or any school in the Ivy League, then a 2100 isnââ¬â¢t actually all that competitive. You might go through your college list and write down the range of average SAT scores for accepted students. If your scores fall in the lower part of the range or even below the average SAT score, then you might consider taking it again. It may be frustrating to have to study for a completely redesigned test, but you shouldnââ¬â¢t let this challenge deter you. Key Features of the SAT Since you already took the old SAT, youââ¬â¢ll immediately notice that the new SAT looks very different. Instead of ten shorter sections that are mostly random in order, the new SAT has just four longer sections in a predictable order. Youââ¬â¢ll always get Reading first, following by Writing and Language, Math No Calculator, and Math with Calculator. The SAT essay is now optional; if you choose to take it, youââ¬â¢ll get it as a fifth section. Much of the content coincides with the old test. The other half of your score will be SAT Math, which, as you read above, is divided into a calculator prohibited and a calculator permitted section for the first time. Most of the questions will involve algebra, but youââ¬â¢ll also get a few geometry and, also for the first time, trigonometry questions. Finally, the SAT math will feature more word problems with ââ¬Å"real world scenarios,â⬠at least, according to College Board. Some of these so-called real world scenarios may ask about gas mileage, converting currency from one country to another, or profits from online music. Some of these word problems may include graphics; in fact, youââ¬â¢ll now find graphics, like tables and charts, that are paired with data interpretation questions on all four sections of the SAT. These changes are largely in line with those outlined by the Common Core. If your schoolââ¬â¢s curriculum has incorporated Common Core benchmarks, then it may give you a leg up on the new SAT. If you have to retake an admissions test, consider whether these changes appeal to you and your academic strengths. Below are a few of the key features of the ACT so you can compare the two tests. One big difference between the two admissions testsis the presence of a Science section on the ACT. It primarily asks about robots. Only one of those statements is true (I'm helping you sharpenyour critical reading skills!). Key Features of the ACT The new SAT actually looks very similar to the ACT. The ACT has always had a more predictable and straightforward format. Its four sections are English, Math, Reading, and Science, in that order, followed by an optional essay section. While the SAT features a long Reading section and a short Writing section, the ACT is the reverse; its English section (equivalent to SAT Writing and Language) is longer than its Reading section. Similar to the SAT, the ACT also asks questions that are passage-based and avoids particularly obscure vocab words. ACT Math is also comparable to SAT Math, but it tests more advanced concepts. Like the SAT, it has a large emphasis on algebra. Unlike the SAT, the ACT Math section asks more geometry and trigonometry questions. On the ACT, you can use a calculator throughout the math section. The biggest departure from the SAT can be found in the ACT Science section. This 35-minute section tests your reasoning and problem-solving skills and asks you to interpret, analyze, and evaluate data. It doesnââ¬â¢t necessarily require you to have a lot of scientific knowledge. Instead, it has to do with evaluating experimental design and understanding graphics. Students who are well-versed in the scientific method may appreciate the inclusion of a science section on the SAT. As you read through these features, you may have developed an inkling of which test youââ¬â¢d prefer. Letââ¬â¢s summarize the reasons why one test might be better than the other. Which Test Features AreBetter for You? Now that youââ¬â¢re familiar with some of the main differences between the tests, you should figure out which one seems better suited to your academic strengths. One big difference is the Science section on the ACT. You may know automatically whether this section, mainly based on data interpretation and evaluation, plays to your strengths or is one youââ¬â¢d rather avoid. Keep in mind, of course, that the SAT now also features graphics throughout all its sections, but theyââ¬â¢re not all related to science. If youââ¬â¢re a more advanced math student, then you might be drawn to the ACT. It features more geometry than the SAT and doesnââ¬â¢t have as many complex word problems. If youââ¬â¢re stronger in algebra, then the SAT may be for you. As mentioned above, the ACT has a longer English section than a Reading section. The SAT has the reverse. Students who prefer to edit paragraphs for word choice, grammar, and organization of ideas may be drawn to the ACT. If youââ¬â¢re not sure where your academic strengths or simply want to see how the tests include the above-described content, you could take a practice test in each. Taking practice tests may feel tedious,but if you arrange everything in an Instagram-worthy way, then you can at leastmake it look cool. #nofilter Step 2: Take an SAT and ACT Practice Test After youââ¬â¢ve completed step one and learned all about the SAT and ACT, you might take a practice test in each. In the end, choosing between the two is simple. You should choose the one on which you can gain a higher score. Taking and scoring a practice test will help you figure out which test is better for you. There are lots of old ACT practice tests available, and College Board has offered four free official SAT practice tests. Time yourself in a quiet environment and when youââ¬â¢re finished, take the time to score both tests. While the two use a different scoring scale, you could compare the scores using concordance tables released by College Board and ACT, Inc. Since the redesigned SAT is so new, these comparisons are still somewhat rough. However, they should work to give you an idea of how your scores stack up. How to Prepare for the New SAT Since you gained a high score on the old SAT, youââ¬â¢ve probably already done a good deal of preparation for the test. To get ready to retake it, you should start by familiarizing yourself in-depth with all the changes. Learn about whatââ¬â¢s changed on Reading, Writing, Math, and the essay, as well as whatââ¬â¢s stayed the same. For instance, the reading comprehension strategies and grammar rules you studied for the old test should still help you on the new one. Some of the major changes, though, include a ââ¬Å"no calculatorâ⬠math section, an entirely passage-based Writing section, and a new emphasis on data interpretation. Youââ¬â¢ll also have to study entirely new material for the Science section, focusing on data interpretation and the ACTââ¬â¢s unique experimental design questions. As with the new SAT, you should start by familiarizing yourself with each section of the ACT, the English, Math, Reading, Science, and, if applicable, Writing. Gather official practice tests and other high-quality practice materials. You might begin with a diagnostic test and use your results to figure out how long you need to study to achieve your target score improvement. As you read above, you can research your collegesââ¬â¢ expectations and aim for the 75th percentile or higher in the range of average ACT scores of accepted students. Let your college goals guide your prep as you work toward your target scores. Hopefully, at this point, you have a clear sense of whether or not your old SAT scores are sufficient to apply to college. Calvinism Was Founded By John Calvin Religion Essay Calvinism was founded by a man named John Calvin (Theopedia, par. 1). John Calvin was born on July 10, 1509 in France and died on May 27, 1564 at the age of 54 (Rieske, par. 1). John Calvin was brought up Roman Catholic by his mother, Jeanne Le Franc (Rieske, par. 1). John Calvins father, Gerard, was an attorney, raised by seafaring men (Rieske, par. 1). At the age of eighteen, Johns education process was complete (Rieske, par. 2). After John Calvins education and studies were complete, John became a humanist and a reformer, instead of following Roman Catholicism (Rieske, par. 2). To know about a religion or a denomination, one should study also about the founder and the background to his or her life, so that we can know where they came from and where the process of their doctrine beliefs came from. The five main points to Calvinism are: Total Depravity, Unconditional Election (Predestination), Limited Atonement, Irrisistable Grace, and also the Perseverance of the Saints (Humphreys, par. 13). The First of the five points of Calvinism is Total Depravity (Calvinism, par. 4). Every man deserves Hell and is worthless without the presence of God in their lives (Calvinism, par. 4). Adam and Eve and everyone after them were censured by a just God because of original sin (Calvinism, par. 4). The second point is Unconditional Election or Predestination (Humphreys, par. 13). God felt sorry for mankind and sent Jesus to save some sinners, but not all (Calvinism, par. 5). These are known as the Elect and their fate was decided by God before they were born (Calvinism, par. 5). This is not a matter of choice, for the person, but a decision of God (Calvinism, par. 5). Calvinist seem to determine among themselves who is likely to be elected by a persons behavior (Calvinism, par. 6). The points of Limited Atonement and Irrisistable Grace fall with this as well (Humphreys, par. 14-18). The point of Perseverance of the Saints means that once God saves someone, they will always be saved (Humphreys, par. 19). Calvinism teaches that believers dont need priests (Calvinism, par. 8). Calvinists observe both communion and baptism (Calvinism, par. 8). Our God does not need to check the time for anything because He knows when, where, and how everything will happen (Theopedia, par. 5). God keeps himself hidden from non-believers but reveals Himself to those who already know Him, or will know Him (Theopedia, par.5). In the later history of Calvinism, people have modified John Calvins teachings to serve their own purposes and the beliefs of the Reformed Tradition of Protestant Christianity, which Calvinism was the most prominent in (Theopedia, par. 5). When Calvinism first started it suddenly became very popular all around the world (Calvinism, par. 3). John Calvin and many more of his co-pastors were originally from France but left because of their religion, so they moved to Geneva which became a trading city of about 10,000 people (Grell, par. 8). The Old Testament is mainly where Calvin got his inspirations from (Grell, par. 10). Calvinism is not comprehensible without remembering the persecution of Christians (Grell, par. 10). Som e people thought that the idea of Predestination produced anxiety from asceticism and capitalism (German, par. 11). Calvinism was a large part of the Great Awakening Movement in American History, which influenced American culture and disinterested benevolence (German, par. 4). People could give to others without sacrifice (German, par. 4). Jonathan Edwards was the main teacher of this view (German, par. 4). It also included caring for the needs of the many instead of the individual (German, par. 6). Calvinists share many beliefs with Baptists, but they hold some beliefs that we do not share (Humphreys, par. 2). God determines all things in detail, including who will, and who will not be saved (Humphreys, par. 2). Most of the founders of the Southern Baptist Convention were Calvinists, but today most Southern Baptists are not (Humphreys, par. 7). Calvinists believe that mankind is completely corrupt (Theopedia, par. 6). Calvinists also teach that Christ died for a lot of people, but not for everyone (Theopedia, par. 8). Calvinists differed from Lutheranism in that Luther taught a salvation based on faith of the individual and disputed Calvins idea of Predestination (Calvinism, par. 9). However, they do share a belief that we can depend on Gods word (Calvinism, par. 9). In his song, Wholly Yours, David Crowder sings I am full of earth/You are heavens worth/I am stained with dirt/Prone to depravity (Van Biema, par. 1). Songs like this are becoming more and more popular as Calvinism makes a comeback (Burek, par. 6). This comeback challenges Prosperity Gospel that has been so popular in recent years by renewing a focus on God first (Burek, par. 6). More than ten percent of Southern Baptist pastors call themselves Calvinists (Burek, par. 7). Calvinist pastors like John Piper and Mark Dever are at the forefront of the movement, which is especially with young professional people (Burek, par. 8). They point to John Calvin as one of the minds that created our modern culture and the culture of America in general (Burek, par. 18). American ideals of democracy, our open market economy, and equal opportunity all came from John Calvin (Burek, par. 18). The New Calvinism is an effort to put focus back on God and off of ourself (Burek, par. 28). These young people have grown up in an immoral culture and want more than a God who will just be their buddy (Van Biema, par. 5). They want a God who is God (Van Biema, par. 5). They want a God who is bigger and better than they are (Burek, par. 36). These people would rebuke the idea that the Jesus wants to be our friend approach (Burek, par. 13). On the surface, one would think that Calvinism would not be accepted in todays culture (Burek, par. 20). Much of Christianity today concerns a Prosperity Gospel that is centered around the individual (Burek, par. 20). Consider a recent Barna Group survey to determine how many Americans believe that the Bible is completely true, and in salvation by works and not grace (Burek, par. 21). Only nine percent of people surveyed, believed in salvation by grace and among eighteen to twenty-three year olds, it was less than one percent (Burek, par. 22). Many Christians say that they pick and choose from their churchs teachings what they themselves want to believe (Burek, par. 23). This by necessity seems to reveal the need for people to believe that God is God and that He is over everything (Burek, par. 28). They need to know not that man can be improved, but that God is praised (Burek, par. 28). John Calvins teachings had wide exceptance over his lifetime and the centuries to come (Bouwsma, par. 3). People from every cultural background and economic status, were drawn to Calvinism (Bouwsma, par. 3). Calvinisms attraction then, as it is now, comes from how it seemingly explains social problems existing in culture and how it encourages its followers to do good works in Christs name (Bouwsma, par. 3). Calvinism is expertly illustrated in the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes (Fact-Index, par. 4). In fact, the character Calvin is named for John Calvin, and the character Hobbes is named after Thomas Hobbes, who was a seventeenth century philosopher who had what the strips creator called a dim view of human nature (Fact-Index, par. 4). Their witty banter satirizes Calvinisms world view in a fresh and appealing way (Fact-Index, par. 3). The strip, and the teachings of pastors such as John Piper, have wide appeal to people who are searching for meaning in todays world (Burek, par. 8). I t is important that one would show grace towards those that do not agree with ones doctrinal views, but that one would teach and share that the salvation God offers is for everyone, not just Calvins chosen elect.

These were the main factors which resulted in the creation of a wider market.The company grew on the concept that to manufacture it by mass and to standardize a product in end would mean to price it so low so that even the lay man would afford to buy it. Ford manufactured almost everything he required for his cars right from the basic raw materials. Ford mastered the mass production techniques to achieve significant economies by taking the task of doing everything by him. Ford was cautious about finance, accounting and giving super vision short and straight for the efficient coordination of the free flow of the raw materials and the comp onents through the production procedure.These were the two reasons why Ford vertically integrated the corporation. Though for the complete vertical integration it needed a huge amount work force including middle managers and specialists which were to be employed and assigned according to the hierarchical scheme. Thus in the end it all helped in the vertical integration of the corporation. By 1950s, the increase in mass production made them the largest single group within every developed country. (Thompson, n. d. The following chain of events will help to shed some light on the three stages of evolution of the company to an MNC. These stages will be further explained following the key moments in history. Ford Motor Corporation sold their first car which was assembled in their Mack Avenue plant in Detroit. The first car that they sold was a two cylinder model A on July 23rd. The Model T was made available to the public in 1908 and in which model production continued until 1927. Ford M otor Corporation of Canada incorporated near Winsor in Ontario.In the same year Ford Motor corporation starts the production at the Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit In 1910 The Manufacturing operations of Ford Motor Corporation was transferred to Highland Park, Michigan Plant. The corporation established their first overseas plant in Trafford Park, Manchester, England in 1911. The experiments with the assembly line began at the Highland Park Plant. The early trials with the transmissions and magnetos were followed by the advancement of chassis assembly line by the mid of the 1913 and by the end of the 1915 the one millionth car was produced by the Ford Motor Corporation.Two years later first Ford truck was introduced which was supported by the Model T engine and in the same year the production of Fordson tractor begins which until Feb 1928 was produced only in North America. It was in the beginning of the 1922 the Ford Motor company purchased Lincoln Motor Company for 8 million doll ars and Edsel Ford the son of Henry Ford was named as the president of the Lincoln. After five years from the purchase of Lincoln Motor Company, it ceases the model T production which was being sold to the public since 1908. Ford starts with production of the Model A in the same year which continues till 1932.By the beginning of 1941 ford started producing the Mercury, the first jeep and first V8 en-block engine-equipped car built. All these car productions came to a halt by the beginning of World War II in 1942 and the production of Ford passenger cars was only resumed by July 3rd 1945. Later in 1956 Ford Motor company transforms into a publicly-held company with the common stock sale in the public and was listed on NYSE in the beginning of 1956. By the same year the Ford Motor company subsidiary on Aeronutronics systems, established which specialized in defence weapons and aerospace technology.As the Ford Motor corporation went on progressing with their production and sales reachi ng higher demands it finally achieves exceeded earnings than those of the General Motors for the First time in 1986/1987. The same year it earns record profits of 4. 63 billion but later on in 1991 Ford Motor Company's largest loss in a year was recorded as 2. 3 billion. As the result the Ford Motor company creates a Quality Care system to meet the needs the Ford dealerships and Ford owners. The same year Ford and Volkswagen Embark on a joint venture in ââ¬Å"Auto Europaâ⬠, which is an organisation which produce multipurpose vehicles in Portugal.Later next year Ford's F series truck known as the best-selling truck for the tenth consecutive years in United States. Ford also succeeds in producing the first car which has environment friendly air-conditioning system. By the same year, Ford acquires 50% of the Mazda Motor Manufacturing and renames it as Auto Alliance International. In the year 1993, Ford is claims five of the eight top selling vehicles in the United States. The sam e year the first formal Ford Dealerships were placed inside the mainland China and the Ford China operations later secured the manufacturing and assembly.In 1994 the first ford assembly began in India and acquires the world's largest car rental company named Hertz. Finally in 1995 the Ford 2000 is initiated which was said to combine the power, resources ultimately to be a world company with the intimacy and agility of a small one. (Anon. , 2010) Later through years till to date the Ford Motor Corporation concentrated firmly on increasing the consumer base by marketing and developing new products and to achieve their globalization goals.Ford also tried to put more effort on the research and development to increase their consumer base by commercialising cars powered with natural gas. The company advanced by developing and introducing new features like side impact airbags to their products. The growth and development of the corporation reached even up to the teaming up with the NASA to develop features for their cars which no other corporations in automobile industry have ever provided.Over the years though the ford corporation have already started selling their products, after the 90s it came to a broader perspective of growth by extending their fields to various other sections by teaming up with NASA, Oracle Corporation and even a YMCA Childcare, which portrays the in deep goals to become more than a popular automobile manufacturing corporation. At this juncture I would like to shed some light on three stage of evolution that the Ford Corporation had to get through to become a MNC.There are generally three stages of evolution for a corporation to become a Multinational Corporation; they are the Export stage, Foreign Production Stage and finally the Multinational stage. (BRIMS, n. d. ) The Fords motor Corporation which after its incorporation in 1903 made their first model commercialised for the public after a few years from incorporation. At this first stage of Export, it is the point of time were the Ford Motor Corporation had to completely rely on the export agents for exporting the cars outside their home country as they had no other option to increase their export sales.They built plants in Detroit and Michigan to increase the production to satisfy the demand for the cars. The company focuses mainly on achieving higher number of export sales and introduces methods like assembly line to reduce cost and to save time which ultimately increases the production. In the second stage of foreign production, the Ford motor corporation's export sales reach the limits of the sales to the foreign countries in means of export sales.Now the Corporation had the option of either to start a plant in a foreign country or to license corporation's technology to a new company in a foreign country is a risky choice as it may result in transfer of trade secrets regarding the technology to a new firm thereby paving way for the rise of a rival. In spite of the se facts the Ford Motor Corporation established their foremost overseas manufacturing plant in Trafford Park, Manchester. Thus the productivity of the Ford Motor Corporation increases and in 1915 it produces he one millionth ford car and over the decades the Ford Motor Corporation increases their productivity by building more efficient and advanced plants throughout the home country and in foreign countries as well, which means it has already entered the final stage of being a multinational company. In this final stage, Ford Motor Corporation focuses on research and development, financing, and recruiting and co-ordinating production. By viewing the world market into a broader and growth intended view which results in the standardisation of products and the services paving way for the emergence of MNCs.From this it is easy for us to understand the different phases involved in an organisationââ¬â¢s transformation into an MNC.
